Swan!

The other day, Cindy, Cathy and I were walking home from the bus stop and we had to stop and gander at the swans. Mother-Bird Cathy chewed off a piece of chocolate biscuit and fed the regurgitated pieces to the behemoth fowl. All the while, I sat there like a starving paparazzi taking a billion photos, trying to get the million dollar shot. Below is a testament to my "best"; eh.

Yosemite Con't

A few more photos from our Yosemite vacation.

Sammy Squirrel! The ground squirrels were so used to humans in the campground that they'd come up right underneath your legs while sitting around the campfire. I decided to take some close up shots and take advantage of the situation.

Morning view of Half Dome from Glacier Point. Cindy and I became engaged several yards from this venue. This year while visiting our engagement spot, we were greeted with a growling cougar. Below is an audio clip of a cougar from National Geographic. The low rumble portion at 00:00:12 is EXACTLY what we heard while sitting at our spot.

A picture of the star-filled Yosemite sky with tree tops in the bottom left-hand corner. Due to the darkness, we had to keep the shutter open for three minutes to capture just a portion of the light that was visible to the human eye; within these three minutes, the rotation of the Earth caused the stars to appear blurry, despite the camera being entirely in focus. Notice how the stars appear to be “moving” in the same direction?

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was spent lounging around at our sister's place where she has a few cats. This was an optimal opportunity to practice some photography. We hope you enjoy the photos!

Laguna Beach

Cindy and I spent Saturday taking some experimental shots with our new camera down in Laguna Beach. Enjoy!
